PIERCETON – Robert R. Roatcap, 48, Pierceton, passed away Dec. 15, 2015, in his residence. He was born April 15, 1967, in Santa Maria, Calif., to Jack Sr. and Wanda L. Place Roatcap, Calif. On March 18, 1989, in Paintsville, Ky., he was united in marriage to Connie M. Lewis, who survives in Pierceton. He served in the U.S. Navy as a welder and firefighter on the U.S.S. Iowa. He loved to read, watch movies, cook, camp, catch fish and hunt deer. He also was a huge “Star Trek” enthusiast. Also surviving are his children, Justin (and spouse Amber) Roatcap, Cromwell; April (and spouse Bill) Miller, Etna Green; Kit (and spouse Elizabeth) Craft, Claypool; Shaun (and spouse Holly) Craft, Warsaw; his father, Jack Sr. Roatcap, Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Jack Roatcap II, Ligonier; a sister, Honey (and spouse Brian) Sawyer, Claypool; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother and a nephew. There will be no service.
