Robert Paul FretzRobert Paul Fretz, age 76, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at 3:24 p.m. in Parkview Randallia Hospital, of Fort Wayne.

Robert was born on June 4, 1946, in Plymouth, to Ralph and Donna Joyce Fretz. He lived most of his life in the area, but has resided in Syracuse since 2004. He worked for Heartland RV as a tractor driver, and he also worked for RV and mobile home manufacturers. He was a very hard worker and loved his Corvette, car shows, antique tractors, tractor pulls, as well as spending quality time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his companion, Crystal Marvel, of Syracuse; his daughters: Joddy (Thomas) Buck, of Gilbert, Ariz.; Loretta (Jerry) Roush, of Argos; Heather Marvel, of Bremen; his sons: Harold (fiancée, Davina) Fretz, of Warsaw; Paul Edward Fretz, of Kinross, Mich.; Bobby (Martha) Fretz, of Middlebury; his eight grandchildren; his 11 great-grandchildren; his brothers: David Fretz, of Knox; Minor Fretz, of South Bend; Phil Fretz, of Warsaw; Melvin (Rowena) Fretz, of Warsaw; and his favorite dogs, Rossie and Mac.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Donna Fretz.

Visitation service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at Summit Chapel Cemetery, Ind. 10, Bourbon,  with Pastor Mike Kelley presiding.
