Robert Michael WeaverRobert Michael Weaver, age 70, of Warsaw, and with ties to Roanoke, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at 1:05 a.m. at Parkview Regional Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Robert graduated from Columbia City High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Robert worked as a machinist at DePuy and at Mike Gill Auto Parts, Warsaw. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, riding his Harley and watching his grandson race his dirt bike.
Robert was born June 8, 1951, in Huntington, to Robert DeLoss and Aladean Swing Weaver.
He is survived by sons, Randy (Heather) Weaver, of Warsaw; and Ryan Weaver, of North Manchester; daughter, Rachael (Aaron) Wagner, of Russellville, Ky.; grandchildren: Austin, Caiden, Reagon, Easton, Ashley, Lindsey, Hanna and Chloe; and former wife, Teresa Shepherd. He was preceded by a sister, Brenda Felger, and his beloved miniature pinscher, Rudy.
Visitation is Friday, Feb. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, and Saturday, Feb. 26 from 10 to 11 a.m. preceding the 11 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke. Roanoke American Legion Post #160 providing graveside military honors.
