SYRACUSE – Robert Maggart, 81, Cromwell, passed away August 29, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse. He was born Nov. 9, 1933, in Columbia City, to Floyd and Rachel Leininger Maggart. On April 10, 1953, he married Delores Hogan, who survives in Cromwell. He retired from Don & Sons Excavating in 2013. He was a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge, as well as the Syracuse Eagles. Also surviving are: two daughters, Sandra (and spouse Cecil) Gonzales, New Paris, and Lisa (and spouse Kevin) Sawyer, Syracuse; a son, Mark (and spouse Lisa) Maggart, Cromwell; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Mullins, and one sister. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial is in Syracuse Cemetery.
