Robert M. 'Bob' Kaufman

SYRACUSE – Robert M. “Bob” Kaufman, 76, of Goshen, and formerly of Syracuse, died at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 8, 2013, in his residence. He was born June 10, 1937, in Anderson, to Leland A. and Geneva M. Ellis Kaufman. On June 10, 1961, in North Webster, he married Sharon Ann Losee, who survives in Goshen. He attended North Webster High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He formerly worked at Coachman, Middlebury and Elkhart, for 10 years, and prior to that for Levernier Custom Crest Car Productions Inc., Syracuse. He moved to Goshen from Syracuse 15 years ago. He was a former member and attended the Church of the Brethren, Syracuse. Also surviving are a son, Tim Kaufman, Shipshewana; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Moser, Syracuse; and two brothers, Jim (and spouse Patricia) Kaufman, Syracuse, and Billy Kaufman, Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by a son, a brother and three sisters. Services will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Military services will follow by members of American Legion Post 253, North Webster. A private burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
