Robert LeRoy Bottorff Sr., 65, of Winona Lake, passed away at 8:20 p.m. June 25, 2013, in his residence. He was born Nov. 7, 1947, in Valparaiso, to Clyde and Anna Bernice Ketchum Bottorff, who preceded him in death. He lived in various towns in northern Indiana until moving to Winona Lake three years ago. He worked for Dalton Foundry, Warsaw, for eight years. He loved to hunt and trap in his younger years and he loved fishing, sometimes for several days straight. He also enjoyed playing cards. Surviving are three children, Robert L. (and spouse Michelle) Bottorff Jr., and Clyde Ben Bottorff, all of Winona Lake, and Ann Marie Bottorff, Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Brittany (and spouse Mark) Johnson and Chris Borton, all of Mishawaka, and Ashlee Becker, W. Va.; two great-grandchildren, Keona and Aiden Johnson, both of Mishawaka; and his ex-wife, Mary Fisher, Winona Lake. He was preceded in death by four sisters: Joann Davis, Ruby Singleton, April Howard, Barb Arbuckle; and a brother, Dave Bottorff. Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
