Robert L. Lockridge, 88, Warsaw, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Jan. 30, 2017, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born March 30, 1928, in Warsaw, to John Leslie and Vera Metz Lockridge. He married Rose Priser on Nov. 1, 1947, in Warsaw. He was a member of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. S1 Robert Louis Lockridge was honorably discharged Dec. 8, 1946. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw. He was a self-employed carpenter with Lockridge Construction. He was a member of American Legion Post 49. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending dog shows. He is survived by his wife, Rose Lockridge, Warsaw; and a granddaughter. He was preceded by a daughter, Patty Brumfield, June 21, 1995; two brothers, Donald Lockridge and Eugene Lockridge; and three sisters: Lucy Baney, Doris Bayne and Mattie Muellen. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor David Hummel, Warsaw, officiating. Military graveside honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126.
