NORTH MANCHESTER – Robert L. “Bob” Moery Jr., 64, of North Manchester, died at 6:55 p.m. Dec. 6, 2012, in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. He was born Nov. 7, 1948, in Detroit, Mich., to Robert L. Sr. and Helen Mileski Moery. He was a technician with Verizon, formerly known as GTE, from 1974 until his retirement in 2010. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1970 and served as a radioman. He was honorably discharged four years later. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, North Manchester. He graduated from Mumford High School, Detroit, Mich., in 1967, attended Wayne State University and earned an associate’s degree in electronics from ITT Tech in 1976. Surviving are a son, Robert (and spouse Amanda) Moery, Parker City; a daughter, Ellen Moery, Cookeville, Tenn.; a brother, Steve (and spouse Jane) Moery, Clearwater, Fla.; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 29 at Zion Lutheran Church, North Manchester, with Pastor Ladona Webb officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
