Robert Joseph Bayne, known to most as Joe, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the age of 80.
Born on Jan. 11, 1946, he was the son of Jim and Mary Martin Bayne.
Joe was a kind and simple man who was known by many. Throughout his life, he worked as a machinist and woodworker, skills he took pride in and shared with those around him. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
Joe enjoyed being outdoors. He was an avid hiker who loved to camp and spend time in nature. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Most of all, Joe loved his family and treasured his time spent with them making memories.
Joe is survived by his son, Todd; and daughter-in-law, Jessica Bayne, of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Keegan (Avery) Bayne and Kile Bayne, of Warsaw; his brother, Steve Bayne, of Michigan; and his longtime companion, Wilma Davis. Joe's parents preceded him in death.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
His family kindly requests that donations be made to his family for Joe’s final expenses. Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw was entrusted with arrangements.
