Robert Howard Hile, 92, of Warsaw, died March 4, 2011, at 4:35 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in Warsaw.
He was born May 11, 1918, in North Webster, to Howard Leroy and Celesta Ophilla Eberly Hile. He married his first wife, Mable Goering, then on Jan. 27, 1979, in Kendallville, he married Ruth A. Grubbs.
He was co-owner of Hite's Auto Service with his father for 20 years. He retired form Fort Wayne American Auto in 1982, then worked for Quick Tanks (Farm Tanks) for 15 years until 1998. He attended Warsaw Community Church, and was a past member of the Warsaw Elks and the Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are three sons: Jim Hile, Talma; Robert Leroy (and spouse Linda) Hile, Warsaw; Michael Hile, Plymouth; a daughter, Dannica Hile, of Ocala, Fla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and both wives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
