Robert G. Alexander, 85, of Warsaw, died at 9:52 p.m. May 8, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, from pneumonia and complications. He was born April 15, 1926, in Wabash, to Myrl and Violet Colbert Alexander. Formerly of Claypool, he graduated from Claypool High School and Warner Beauty College, Fort Wayne. A hair stylist, he had a shop in the King Cole Building, Indianapolis, for years. He was a member at Broadway Street Methodist Church, Indianapolis. He belonged to the Masonic Temple, Indianapolis, and was a 50-year member of the Mason’s. He moved to Warsaw in 2009 and attended First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Surviving are two brothers, Tom Alexander, Milford, and John S. (and spouse Mazie) Alexander, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Toni Carmer officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
