SYRACUSE — Robert F. “Frankie” Howard, 61, Goshen, passed away at 11:41 a.m. March 3, 2017, at his home. He was born Oct. 19, 1955, in Salyersville, Ky., to Alec and Willadean Daniels Howard. He grew up in Salyersville and attended public schools there. He was married March 14, 1977, in Salyersville, to Florence Marie Howard, who survives. They moved to the Syracuse/Goshen area 31 years ago from Salyersville. He is survived by his wife, Florence Howard, Goshen; a daughter, Jackie (spouse David) Gibbs, Syracuse; two sons, Drexell (spouse Anna) Fausnaugh, Fairbanks, Alaska, and Johnnie Howard, Goshen; six grandchildren; a sister, Erma Tackett, Syracuse; a brother, Henry (spouse Susie) Howard, Salyersville; a half sister, Mary Cook, Syracuse; and a half brother, Harry (spouse Linda) Caudill, Leesburg. He was preceded by his parents. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
