NORTH WEBSTER - Robert Eugene "Bob" Cripe, 85, of North Webster, died March 2, 2011, in his home.

He was born July 30, 1925, in Milford, to Roy E. and Rosie R. Weldy Cripe. On Jan. 21, 1950, in New Paris, he married Evelyn R. Hickman Harris, who died in 2003.

He was a lifetime Kosciusko/Elkhart counties area resident and attended New Paris and Nappanee public schools. He retired Jan. 1, 1982, from Bixel Paint Corp., Warsaw, after 21 years, and formerly worked at Sudlow's Pier Shop, Syracuse. He was a member of North Webster Church of God, where he served as an usher and chairman for the Sunday Morning Men's Prayer Breakfast for many years.

Surviving are two brothers, Douglas Cripe, Goshen, and Phillip Cripe, Nappanee. He was preceded in death by two sisters.

A graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Salem Cemetery, Larwill (Wilmot), with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.

Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
