Robert E. “Bobby” Sherrard Jr., 42, was called to his final resting place at 4:04 p.m. Nov. 8, 2013, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, with his family by his side. He was born Jan. 10, 1971, in Dalton, Ga., to Robert E. Sr. and Diane Buhrmaster Sherrard. On July 6, 2013, in Silver Lake, he married his beloved Dawn Yates, who survives in Pierceton. He spent most of his life in Kosciusko County. He was a member of North Webster Sons of the American Legion; he was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and Miami Dolphin fan and an avid collector of baseball cards. He loved the 7-Eleven which contributed to his 7-Eleven collectibles. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother with a heart of gold. Also surviving are two sons, Nathan and Noah Sherrard, both of Milford; a daughter, Natalie Sherrard, Milford; a stepson, Dylan Miller, Pierceton; a stepdaughter, Amanda Miller, Pierceton; his mother, Diane (and spouse Hoyt) Byrum, Melbourne, Fla.; three sisters: Elizabeth Sherrard, Melbourne; Amy (and spouse William) Alberding, Warsaw; Megan (and spouse Neil) Hodges, Syracuse; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sherrard Sr., who died Sept. 27, 1989; grandparents, James E. and Margaret Sherrard, and Frank, Norma and Fran Buhrmaster; and an infant niece, Victoria L. Alberding, who died Aug. 19, 1994. Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the Pierceton Presbyterian Church. Calling is one hour prior to services Friday.
