NORTH MANCHESTER – Robert E. Blocher, 72, of North Manchester, died at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 6, 2011, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

He was born Jan. 23, 1939, in Wabash County, to S. Willis and Lelia E. Baker Blocker, who preceded him in death.

He was a lifetime North Manchester area farmer and was in the business of buying, selling and trading cattle, horses, grain and hay.

Surviving are three sons: Calvin R. (and spouse Sherri) Blocher, Waterford, Calif.; Lamoine R. (and spouse Nicole) Blocher, Modesto, Calif.; Darryl L. (and spouse Debra) Blocher, Chapman, Kan.; and grandchildren: Cole and Kristin Blocher, both of Waterford, Calif.; Spencer and Hannah Blocher, both of Modesto, Calif.; Chasity and Ashlee Blocher, both of Junction City, Kan.; and Crystal Cox, Manhattan, Kan.; four brothers: Billie G. (and spouse Esther) Blocher, Joe (and spouse Bonnie) Blocher, Max (and spouse Sandra) Blocher, North Manchester, and Marvin (and spouse Taffy) Blocher, all of North Manchester; and a sister, Ruthie E. (and spouse David) Brubaker, Pasco, Wash.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester, with Larry Cripe officiating. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
