Robert Dale ChaneyHAGERSTOWN, Md. – Robert Dale Chaney, of Warsaw, passed away to join his loving wife Beverly on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, in Hagerstown, Md. He was 86 years old and he lived just long enough to see Navy beat Army one more time.
Born on Sep. 24, 1933, Robert led a life of hard work, honor and service. After serving in the Army, he put himself through medical school and went on to become an anesthesiologist in the U.S. Navy. Totaling nearly 30 years of service to his country, Robert was always eager for a challenge. His time spent with the U.S. Marines was his most memorable. He was a very giving and generous person who was always willing to help his loved ones. He will be missed by us all.
He is survived by daughters Julie Plummer, Judy Tropper and Janet Dickerson; sons John Chaney and James Chaney; his sister, Annabelle; brother, Carey; and their 13 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Bruce and Stanley.
