COLUMBIA CITY – Robert “Bob” Gene Dunn, 80, Larwill, passed away at 10:40 p.m. May 8, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born June 26, 1935, in Columbia City, to Thomas A. and M. Ruth Pritchard Dunn. On Nov. 19, 1955, he married Jean E. Keiser, who survives. They were married 60 years. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the class of 1954. He had worked at Dunn & Culbertson Painting before joining the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the family painting business, he worked for Dana Spicer Axel for 41 years and was a longtime farmer. He loved being with his wife and surrounded by his family. He enjoyed collecting cars, Pennsylvania Rail Road items, tractors and farm toys. Also surviving are a daughter, Carol Ormsby, Pierceton; a son, Ronald (and spouse Lori) Dunn, Larwill; a sister, Maxine (and spouse Donald) Culberston, Columbia City; a brother, the Rev. Gail Dunn, Harrisburg, Pa.; five grandchildren: Jennifer Ormsby, Kristi (and spouse Derek) Crosson, Heather (and spouse Mick) Ames, Trent Dunn and Kayla Dunn; six great-grandchildren: Isaiah Holden; Tyler, Kaitlyn and Alexis Crosson; and Alden and Amiah Ames; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Lois Dunn, Elaine Anderson and Arlis Gamble; and a brother, Samuel “Jackie” Dunn. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastor Curtiss Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Nolt Cemetery.
