Robert 'Bob' Fox

Robert “Bob” Fox, 85, of Warsaw, passed away at 12:28 a.m. Dec. 4, 2012, in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, with his wife and daughter by his side.
He was born April 28, 1927, in Milford, to George and Ruth Fisher Fox. On Sept. 30, 1950, in Gravelton, he married Chris Grow, who survives.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, he retired from NIPSCO after 37 years of service as a crane operator. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a member of American Legion Post 49, Warsaw.
He enjoyed traveling, reading, having coffee with friends, playing cards with family and fishing. He has traveled to all 50 states, and made a special trip to tour Europe on their 50th wedding anniversary. He loved to visit his brother in Arizona and go hiking in the mountains. Most of all he loved being with his wife, grandchildren, his daughter and family get-togethers.
Also surviving are a daughter, Diane (and spouse Jeff) Clay, Warsaw; grandchildren, Kristina (and spouse Dan) Sjurset, West Chicago, Ill., and Ryan Clay, Warsaw; a brother, Virgil (and spouse Irene) Fox, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two sisters, Marge (and spouse Max) Miller,   Nappanee, and Lois (and spouse Dave) Hostetter, Middlebury; a brother-in-law, William Grow (and companion Marlene Blackford), Warsaw; a sister-in-law, Zenal (and spouse Earl) Brown, Nappanee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Owen and Andy Fox; and two sisters, Melba Spence and Dorothy Adams.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by  American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars  Post 1126, both in Warsaw. Chaplain Bob Jarboe of Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice will officiate the service.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
