Robert A. Brooks, 80, Nappanee, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 2:58 p.m. June 8, 2016, in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital.
He was born Feb. 27, 1936, in Vineland, N.J., to William and Madge Moyer Brooks. On Aug. 23, 1959, in Mentone, he was united in marriage to Janet King, who survives in Nappanee. They were married 56 years.
He served the country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He then owned Texaco Gas Station before joining Anheuser-Busch Company for 28 years. He also worked for the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department in work release for six years. He enjoyed antiquing, of which he and his wife did together for 45 years.
He loved his family, but his children and grandchildren were the love of his life.
Also surviving are two children, William Alan Brooks, Grand Rapids, Mich., and  Jill (and spouse David) Brooks Bultemeier, Battle Creek, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Brooks and Lincoln Bultemeier, Battle Creek.
Services will be at a later date.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with the arrangements.
