Beginning today through July 2, Norfolk and Southern Railroad will close the Winona Avenue crossing for reconstruction.
The closing of the crossing will cause Winona Avenue to be closed from Detroit Street to South Park Avenue. The approved detour will be Detroit Street, Pope Avenue, Smith Street and South Park Avenue.
This additional closure will create congestion in the Winona Avenue and Detroit Street areas which already are under construction. Drivers should avoid the area, if possible.
