NORTH MANCHESTER - There is new artwork adorning the walls of the KenapocoMocha Coffee Shop in North Manchester.
The featured artist is Susan Ring, a homegrown Indiana resident. She grew up in farm country around Atwood. She attended John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis and rekindled her love of painting in 2000.
Ring's work includes oils and watercolors of her favorite subjects: trucks, landscapes and people. Ring holds memberships with the Wabash County Art Guild, Lakeland Art Association, Hoosier Salon, Indiana Plein Air Painters Association and American Watercolor Society. She recently joined the Fort Wayne Art Museum and is working on a piece for the Art's United Mosaic.
She is married to Keith Ring and is the mother of sons Brandon and Derek. She is currently employed as a secretary at Manchester Jr.-Sr. High School.
Ring's work will be featured at KenapocoMocha Coffee and Pastry shop on the corner of Market and Second Streets in North Manchester during January and February. All the pieces on exhibit are for sale.The shop's winter hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
