Richard Lee Taylor, 78, of 301 Auditorium Blvd., Winona Lake, died at 9:40 a.m. Sept. 22, 2012, in Warsaw Meadows Care Center.
He was born Nov. 28, 1933, in Hartford City, to George W. and Lorean Wright Taylor. On Aug. 22, 1953, in Monpelier, Ohio, he married Janice M. Bowers, who survives.
For the past 68 years he has been a resident of Kosciusko County. In 1952 he graduated from Warsaw High School. He worked at Free Methodist Publishing House, Winona Lake, for many years and owned a construction company for a number of years prior to owning and operating Tri-State Bolt Co., Warsaw, for 19 years. The past few years he worked with the Winona Restoration Co. Project.
Also surviving are three daughters: Cinda (and spouse Michael) Chase, Dayton, Tenn.; Linda (and spouse Clint) Olson, North Webster; and Minda Taylor, Florida; a son, Dave (and spouse Jodi) Taylor, Wakarusa; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter; a brother and a sister.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Gale Janofski officiating.
