CLEARWATER, Fla. - Richard Lee Gulley, 55, of Clearwater, Fla., and formerly of Warsaw, died June 12, 2009, in his residence, under the care of The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and following complications from metastic renal cancer.

He was born in Gas City, to John Richard and Lois Freshour Gulley.

He also formerly lived in Kentucky. After graduating from Mississinewa High School in 1972, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served as a hospital corpsman. After serving he worked both as a paramedic for the Booneville Hospital and as a control room operator at F.B. Culley Generating Station, Newburgh.

Surviving are his mother, Lois Gulley; two brothers, Michael (and spouse Lisa) and Jeffrey Gulley; a daughter, Crystal (and spouse Paul) Biondich; two grandchildren.

A private memorial service was Monday at Treasure Island, Fla. There will be a memorial service in Warsaw at a later date.

Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
