Richard Lee "Dick" Woods, 65, of Burket, went to be with his Savior at 12:15 a.m. July 15, 2008, in his residence.
He was born July 21, 1942, in Burket, to Elmer Glenn and Harriet Marie Carey Woods. On Sept. 29, 1962, in Burket Methodist Church, he married Janet Faye Miller, who survives.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was a general contractor as Dick Woods Builder in Warsaw and surrounding areas.
Also surviving are a son, Scott (and spouse Natisha) Woods, Warsaw; a daughter, Shana (and spouse Rod) Mayer, Winona Lake; seven grandchildren, Mya, Jett, Harper, Kara, Mary Catherine, Caroline and Jack; two brothers, Lloyd Woods, Rochester, and Don Woods, Warsaw; and three sisters: Maxine Goon, Gloria Wade and Sadie Summy, all of Warsaw. Dad joined Hudson Woods and Anne Margaret Mayer, to God be the Glory.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Doug Lemon, Rod Mayer and Dave Engbrecht officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
