Richard Lee Brooks, 62, of Warsaw, died at 12:03 a.m. April 15, 2007, in his residence.
He was born Aug. 22, 1944, in Battle Creek, Mich., to James Ernest and Anna Bell Ridenour Brooks. On Nov. 9, 1968, in Marion, he married Candence Robie, who survives.
Moving to the Warsaw area in 1991, he was a factory worker for GDX, Wabash, for 38 years, and was a taxidermist. He was a member of Celebration Church and served in the U.S. Army from 1965-67 during the Vietnam era.
Also surviving are two daughters, Angela Brooks, Warsaw, and Kathryn Brooks, Marion; a son, Richard Lee Brooks II, Warsaw; three brothers, Doug and DeWayne Brooks, both of Wabash, and Dean Jines, Columbia City; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Cindy Gachenheimer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
