ROCHESTER — Richard L. Gilliland, 83, Rochester, died June 10, 2018, at his residence.
He was born July 3, 1934, in Rochester, to Geiger "Jig" and Lauretta B. Porter Gilliland. He was married to Beatrice “Bea” Damron on Dec. 18, 1955, in Rochester. She died Nov. 27, 2015.
He served as a Seabee with the United States Navy.
A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Military rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy Honor Team.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
