NORTH MANCHESTER - Richard L. "Dick" Miller, 75, of North Manchester, died at 11:25 p.m. June 25, 2010, in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
He was born July 7, 1934, in Wabash County, to Paul and Eva Elizabeth Knipp Miller. On Oct. 6, 1957, he married Janet L. Workman, who survives.
He was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester, and the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Board since 1979. He graduated from Noble Township High School in 1954. He was a truck driver for North Manchester Trucking Co. for 20 years, and Strauss Veal Feeds, North Manchester, for 10 years. He then worked at Dickerhoff Electric, North Manchester, as an electrician for several years before retiring from Hippensteel Electric, North Manchester, in 2000. He currently worked at Fahs-Brown Plumbing, Heating and Electrical, North Manchester.
Also surviving are three daughters: Rita D. (and spouse Joe) Stacy, North Manchester; Sheila K. Miller, Richmond; and Beth R. (and spouse David) West, Huntington; two sisters, Delores (and spouse Keith) Morphew, Ossian, and Linda (and spouse Myron) Ridgeway, Andrews; three grandchildren; and a foster granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Warren Garner and James Mishler officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
