MILFORD – Richard Hepler, 83, Milford, passed away Nov. 29, 2015, at Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare Center, Milford.
He was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Elkhart County, to Willard and Anna Marquart Hepler. On March 4, 1967, he married Dolores Druckamiller, who survives in Milford.
He was a graduate of Milford High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He was a cabinet maker at Mutschler Cabinet Company, Nappanee. He was a member of the Milford Christian Church, Lions Club and the Milford American Legion Post 226. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Also surviving are three daughters: Sue Ann Timmons, Warsaw; Cheryl (and spouse Rick) Bauman, Elkhart; Brenda (and spouse Roger) Baumgartner, New Paris; a son, Don (and spouse Mary) Hepler, Leesburg; a sister, Anna Lou Teeter, Warsaw; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carl and Donald.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Milford, with Jesse Beer officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery with military honors.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
