SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Richard “Dick” Roberds, 81, passed away Aug. 25, 2015, in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas. He was born Oct. 14, 1933, in Warsaw, to Clifford and Ignota Roberds. He married Betty Roberds, who survives. He attended Wabash College, Crawfordsville, and graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration in 1955. He was proud member of Phi Kappa Psi. He served his country from January 1956 to January 1958 on active duty, and was in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1960. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant First Class. After his service, he began his 44-year career in merchandising and held senior executive positions at both Dillard’s and Macy’s. In his spare time, he loved playing golf. Also surviving are: two daughters, Laura Roberds (and partner Susan Elmer) and Brenda (and spouse John) Morgan; two grandchildren, Chris (and spouse Jana) Morgan and Brice (and spouse Lynn) Morgan; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Max and Wellsley Morgan; and a sister, Jo Ellen (and spouse Jack) Mack.
