GOSHEN - Richard "Dick" D. May, 72, of 1306 S. 12th St., Goshen, died at 1:32 a.m. Feb. 26, 2008, in Goshen General Hospital.
He was born July 8, 1935, in Milford, to Amos and Mary Heckman May. On Oct. 3, 1964, in Warsaw, he married Sandra D. Bradbury, who survives.
A lifetime area resident, he worked in the automotive industry and was an electrical engineer at Essex Wire for 20 years. He was self-employed in the delivery business for 20 years at the former Duplex and delivered custom vans throughout the United States. He was a Leesburg High School graduate and a member of American Legion; Goshen Disabled American Veterans; Goshen Masonic Lodge; South Bend Scottish Rite; and Mizpah Shrine of Fort Wayne. He was an electrical engineer in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Guam.
Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Sonja J. (and spouse Gary) Cotherman, Goshen; two stepsons, Danny H. Bradbury, Elkhart, and Johnny W. (and spouse Millie) Bradbury, Etna; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, with John Piecuch officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 5:30 p.m.
