NAPPANEE – Richard D. Hepler, 82, of Bremen, died at 11:25 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Community Hospital of Bremen.
Mr. Hepler was born in Chicago on Jan. 5, 1939. Richard made Bremen his home for over 50 years. He married Maria Valdez on Aug. 27, 1962, in Pierceton.
Richard was a truck driver for most of his life.
Mr. Hepler is survived by his wife, Maria; daughters: Anna (Donn) Jensen, of Bremen; Raquel (Mike) Ricketts, of Noblesville; Rafaela (TC) Staggs, of Mishawaka; and Dawn St.Germain, of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters: Susie (Rex) Forrest and Peggy Hepler Larson, both of Nappanee; and Maxine Moore, of Mooresville; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Mary (McCaffrey) and Othel Hepler; and sisters: Pat Doty, Kay Hepler and Cindy Hepler.
Cremation will take place, and there will be no services at this time.
