PIERCETON - Richard Curtis Smith, 55, of Claypool, died at 9:12 a.m. March 12, 2008, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Oct. 15, 1952, in Wabash, to Billy and Lucy Baublit Smith, who survive in Pierceton.
Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, he worked for Warren Brothers Drywall for 20 years and the Indiana State Highway Dept. He loved to fish and play golf. He was a 1971 Pierceton High School graduate.
Also surviving are three brothers, Mark (and spouse Patty) Smith and Tim (and spouse Paula) Smith, both of Pierceton, and Billy (and spouse Chrissy) Smith, Warsaw; several nieces and nephews; a great-niece; and a special child, Spencer.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home, Pierceton, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
Calling is two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
