LOUISIANA, Mo. – Richard Arlen Grindle, 79, of Louisiana, Mo., and formerly of Ligonier, died June 1, 2012, in St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake St. Louis, Mo. His desire was to be cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date in Indiana.
He was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Pierceton, to Vern Richard and Mabel Kuhn Grindle. On July 2, 1956, in Cromwell, he married Ronilda Jean Smith, who died Dec. 9, 1996.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. He worked in maintenance at Walmart, Warsaw, until retirement in 1997.
Surviving are two daughters, Leeann (and spouse Joseph) Baucher, Ligonier, and Linda (and spouse Brent) Newman, Louisiana, Mo.; three granddaughters; three brothers, Theodore, Arnold and Bruce Grindle. He was preceded in death by a sister.
A memorial service will be at a later date. There will be cremation.
