CULVER — At Culver Academies Thursday, Warsaw’s Sam Rice and Manchester’s doubles team of Noah Cain and Branden Scott advanced in the individual portion of the IHSAA boys tennis state tournament. For Rice, he defeated Triton’s Jared Fisher 6-0, 6-1 and goes straight to the LaPorte Regional on Oct. 18. Cain and Brandenburg downed Wawasee’s Jake Hutchinson and Nate Haines 6-2, 6-1, but return to Culver Saturday for the sectional championship against Plymouth’s Ryan Johnson and Max Holloway.
