Ricardo Ahuatl, of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly at 1:32 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne at the age of 62.

He was born on May 4, 1958, in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico, to Lorenza Cuautle Ahuatl and Juaquin Ahuatl. On July 18, 1982, at the age of 24, he married Rufina Cacahua. They shared 38 years of marriage together before he passed away.

Ricardo moved to Warsaw 21 years ago in 1999 with his family, where he was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was a very hardworking man who dedicated his life to the well-being of his family. At the time of his illness, he was working at Texmo Precision Castings in Warsaw. Ricardo will forever be remembered as a faithful and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ruina Cacahua, Warsaw; two sons: Everardo (Lizbeth) Ahuatl, Warsaw; and Ricardo Ahuatl Jr., Mexico; and two daughters: Grisel Ahuatl, Warsaw; and Leticia Ahuatl, Warsaw. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Omar, Gerardo, Anakaren, Jesus, Lissette, Emmanuel, Eli, Genesis, Julissa and Javis; two brothers:  Guillermo and Alvaro Ahuatl, Mexico; and three sisters: Candelaria, Carmela and Maria Ahuatl, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his infant son, Jose Ahuatl.

Friends and family may visit from 3 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 28 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. There will be a Rosary service at 6 p.m. during visitation. Ricardo’s life will be celebrated by Father Constantino Rocha with a private family mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Warsaw. A private graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
