Kosciusko County Commissioners met today and took care of several items.
They approved a request by the Warsaw Community Development Corporation to use the courthouse lawn for the annual Spooktacular Oct. 29.
County Highway Superintendent Scott Tilden gave progress on what his department has been doing.
The department has chip sealed about 60 miles of road in the county.
Tilden also said that a bridge on Country Club Road is close to being opened and should be this week.
Area Plan Commission Director Dan Richard appeared before the commissioners to present the planning commission's recommendation on a 20-acre tract of land on CR 1300N, west of CR 300E.
The plan commission previously recommended the land be rezoned from agricultural to residential.The petitioner, Jason Knepp, was on hand to answer any questions the commissioners had and told them his plan was to develop the land into a couple of properties.
No one spoke against the rezoning.
The commissioners voted 2-0 in favor with commissioners Ron Truex and Bob Conley voting for it and Brad Jackson abstaining.
The commissioners next meeting is Oct. 12 at 9 a.m.
