PIERCETON - Rex E. Menzie, 57, of Pierceton, died at 1:58 a.m. May 24, 2007, in his residence.

He was born Feb. 2, 1950, in Warsaw, to Glen and Jean Scoby Menzie. On Dec. 11, 1972, in Pierceton, he married Darlene Rhodes, who survives.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he delivered parts for Instrumedical Technologies. He was a member of American Legion Riders of Kosciusko County and a life member of American Legion Post 258 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1342. He was a Vietnam War veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. As a hobby he portrayed an 1840's Mountain Man and also loved camping.

Also surviving are a son, Shane (and wife Jody) Menzie, PIerceton; a daughter, Mrs. Donavan (Trina) Davis, Tulsa, Okla.; his mother, Jean Kratz; a brother, Max Menzie, Pierceton; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Menzie, and a half brother, Rick Robinson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with John Brian officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
