NORTH MANCHESTER – Rex E. Martin, 81, of North Manchester, died at 8:30 a.m. April 30, 2013, in his residence. He was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Wabash County, to Guy and Freda Grossnickle Martin. On Aug. 25, 1951, he married Patricia A. Schenkel, who died Aug. 10, 2006. He was a press operator at Bendix Abrasive’s, North Manchester, retiring after 32 years. Surviving are two sons, Jerry Martin, Roann, and Terry Martin, North Manchester; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
