MARION – Rex Allen Westerman, 62, Marion, died at 11:34 p.m. Sept. 16, 2014, in Marion General Hospital. He was born in New Port, Ark., to the late Lee Westerman and Pearl Baker Avalos. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and he was a truck driver. He enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing and spending time with his family. He is no longer in pain. His Lord took him home to live in peace. He now looks down at all of his loved ones. Surviving are his children, Roxy Bowser, Chandler, Ariz., and Rex A. (and spouse Angie) Westerman, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Tiffany, Heather, Danielle, Channing, Haley, Simon and Mason; four sisters: Peggy, Georgia, Mary Ann and Sandy; a half-brother, Richard Lee; his companion of 23 years, Cathy Pattison; and his spoiled poodle, Kazmo. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Ann Chevelle; a brother, Charles Richard Westerman; and two nephews, Ray Warren and Ricky Westerman. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Marion National Cemetery, in Marion, with Pastor Joe Eddington officiating.
