The Rev. Roy F. Walker, 98, died at 7:03 a.m. March 27, 2007, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, where he resided.
He was born Oct. 21, 1908, in Paragould, Ark., to Edward B. and Callie Henry Weatherly Walker. On Sept. 26, 1930, he married Jeanette Teter, who died March 8, 1993.
Living in this area since 1992, he attended chapel services at Grace Village. He was a Baptist pastor in Colorado, Missouri and Nebraska, and was a cattle farmer in La Plata, Mo.
Surviving are three sons: Dr. William Walker, Winona Lake; Dr. Robert Walker, Spokane, Wash.; and Eugene Walker, Columbia City; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Barbara) Wilgus, Indio, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clarence Walker, Pine, Colo. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Chaplain Glen Byers officiating.
