SYRACUSE - The Rev. Raymond A. Mueller, 78, of North Webster, who is asleep in Jesus, died of natural causes at 10:57 a.m. Dec. 26, 2007, in Jasper County Hospital, Rensselaer.
He was born June 17, 1929, in Kodaikanal, South India, to Alvin A. and Agnes Emma Loesch Mueller. On Aug. 14, 1954, he married Vivian Naef, who survives in North Webster.
He moved to North Webster in 1994. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He then became a pastor in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, serving congregations in Gladwin, Mich.; Battle Creek, Mich.; Bremen; St. Louis, Mo.; Rocky River, Ohio; and Syracuse. He also served on various boards in the Missouri Synod.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Mueller, Arlington Heights, Ill., and Rebekah (and spouse Alan) Miller, Glidden, Iowa; a son, David (and spouse Miranda) Mueller, Goodland; three sisters: Gertrude (and spouse Willard) Schepman, Brownstown; Ruth (and spouse Don) Woodson, Florissant, Mo.; and Martha (and spouse Ed) Ingersoll, Fort Myers, Fla.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark; and a brother, Samuel.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 605 S. Center St., Bourbon, with Pastor Jerry Winegarden officiating. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church, 7449 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse.
