SYRACUSE - The Rev. Kenneth E. Foulke, 89, of Goshen, died at 7:45 p.m. Nov. 21, 2008, in Goshen General Hospital.

He was born Feb. 6, 1919, in Bippus, to Joseph and Iva Wagner Foulke. On Aug. 31, 1941, he married Eleanor Robinson, who died Aug. 22, 2006.

He lived in Elberfield Circuit from 1943-46; Wapakoneta, Ohio, from 1946-51; Syracuse from 1951-58; Rochester from 1958-62; South Bend from 1962-72; Albion from 1972-84; Albion from 1984-92; and Goshen since 1992. He retired as a United Methodist minister after 41 years. He served at Calvary United Methodist Church, Syracuse; Albion United Methodist Church; All Saints United Methodist Church, South Bend; and Rochester United Methodist Church. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Syracuse, and graduated from Bippus High School in 1936; Taylor University in 1940; and Evangelical Theological Seminary, Naperville, Ill., in 1943.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (and spouse Larry) Johnson, Silvis, Ill., and Margaret (and spouse Pat) Foulke-Evans, Milwaukee, Wis.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marietta King, Bartow, Fla.

Services were at 1 p.m. today at Calvary United Methodist Church, Syracuse, with the Revs. Leroy Wise and David Herr officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.

Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
