Early last Sunday, Palm Sunday, while watching a Christian television program, I heard a thump on my glass patio door. On the concrete floor I saw a small bird immobile, which had hit the glass door hard and dropped unconscious.
Watching, I saw the relaxation of its body and the settling of the wings in surrender to all appearances was death. I thought I would dispose of it soon. Several minutes later I looked at it. It seemed that the head was an inch or two to the left of where it had been. Then looking again, I observed that the head and body had moved further left. Returning to my TV program a few minutes, then back to the little bird, I saw it had revived, was on its little legs momentarily, the it flew away!
This coming is Easter! Following His crucifixion, and death, His body laid in a tomb, Jesus Christ was resurrected three days later. His ;living presence to those at that time, and through the centuries, and to our day has brought into existence His Church, composed of all believers in Him as Savior from sin, and Lord of life, of all Christian churches. Time itself, is marked in years, months, and days attest to His life, BC Before Christ, AD In the year of our Lord.
Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live, and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. " John ll:21-26
The little bird reminded me of Jesus resurrection and promise. I hope these true stories remind you of our Lord's resurrection and promise to us all!
