Re: "Vietnam POWS" by Tom Metzger, Times-Union May 12.
It appears Mr. Metzger is retreating deeper and deep into his personal illusionary world ...
Question: What is the name of the "book" claiming to have information about all those remaining POWs?
Fact: Since 1979 joint military recovery teams have questioned, searched and dug up aircraft crash sites, gone into villages, ect., and are still doing active searching ... to imply that no one cares about those still missing is just wrong!
I spent several years at Camp Pendleton before and after my tour of duty in Vietnam and I doubt any Marine would tell you, or any other "non-combatant" any "dirty little secrets." Our standard reply was "You want to know? Enlist and go over there!"
Finally: The phrase "chicken hawk" has nothing to do with war! It refers to adult male perverts who prey on small boys!
I've no idea what "false patriotism" is ... I do know this, you don't ever want to question my patriotism! At least not to my face!
