Reserve Deputy Escapes Serious Injury After CollisionA Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reserve deputy escaped serious injury in a collision late Friday night.
Reserve Deputy Justin Braden was in his patrol vehicle around midnight when he was struck by another vehicle while responding to assist the Winona Lake Police Department, according to the KCSO Facebook page.
Braden was treated at a local hospital and released.
The driver of the other vehicle refused medical treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by the Warsaw Police Department.
Assistance was provided by the Winona Lake Police Department, Lutheran EMS and the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory.
