Rental Assistance Portal Accepting Applications Starting Today

Posted
INDIANAPOLIS – Beginning at 9 a.m. today, the Indiana Housing and Community Development (IHCDA) authority in Indianapolis will accept applications through the Rental Assistance Portal at www.indianahousingnow.org.

This portal will connect Hoosiers to a variety of rental assistance programs administered by IHCDA.

The COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program was designed to help Indiana renters who live outside of Marion County and are earning less now because their income was reduced due to a COVID-19 related event such as job loss or reduction in job hours.

Low-income renters outside of Marion County may be eligible for rental assistance through the Emergency Solutions Grant if they have been affected by COVID-19 either medically or financially. Individuals or families in need may use the portal to apply for either program.

Homeowners in need of assisting paying their mortgage can visit www.877gethope.org.
