WINONA LAKE – The Remnant Trust recently finalized the public exhibition schedule of select volumes from its collection.
The public exhibitions hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a short program scheduled at 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 a.m.
The dates are: April 9, 16; June 4, 11; July 9, 16; Aug. 13, 20; Sept. 10; Oct. 1, 8, 29; Nov. 12; and Dec. 10.
The public exhibitions have been developed in partnership with OrthoWorx and made possible by grant funding received from the Orthopedics Capital Foundation. The goal of this series of events is to provide regularly scheduled community access to this educational resource.
The Remnant Trust is a foundation that shares an actively growing collection of original and first-edition works dealing with the topics of liberty and dignity, with some pieces dating as early as 1250. The Trust makes this collection available to colleges, universities and other organizations. Those exposed to the collection are encouraged to touch, feel and read the original documents.
Generally, titles are loaned for a semester to educational institutions that choose specific displays tailored to each institution. Serving multiple sites each semester, The Remnant Trust is normally booked a couple of years in advance, giving adequate time for planning and incorporating the titles into the curriculum.
The Remnant Trust is in Winona Lake at 1101 Park Ave.
The Trust’s relocation to Winona Lake in 2010 was supported through a collaboration led by OrthoWorx Inc., and received grant funding from Orthopedics Capital Foundation and Kosciusko County Community Foundation. Grace College and Seminary also donated the usage of the building.
