    Two employees of Edgewood Middle School have been recognized for outstanding staff attendance.

Phil Eherenman, certified faculty member in band, and Shryle Shipley, classified cafeteria manager, recently received this honor for the 1990-91 school year.

    During the dedication of the Pierceton-Washington Township Park, Jack Rager was presented with a plaque in recognition of the many years he has devoted to the youth of Pierceton, especially as a Little League coach. William Schuldt, principal at Pierceton School and member of the park board, made the presentation.

September 6 1951

    Jewelry made by Harold E. Radatz, 910 E. Fort Wayne St., was exhibited at a conference of teachers of jewelry design and silversmithing at the American School for Craftsmen, Rochester, N.Y. Aug. 30-31.

Radatz' work was designed and executed in classes of Prof. Alma Eikerman in the Indiana University school of fine arts this summer.

September 6 1926

    Three Warsaw men won first prizes on their entries in the annual dog show of the St. Joseph Valley Kennel Club which has just closed at Elkhart. Grant Croy won first prize on his Springer Spaniel, the dog also winning the purple ribbon over all entries in his class. Dr J.M. Jennings took first prize with his Beagle entry, his dog also winning over all entries in class. Ed Johnson was the third Warsaw man to carry away honors. His Beagle puppies took first prize.
