Tippecanoe Lake Country Club Ladies Bridge Group had its meeting Wednesday. The hostesses for eight tables of bridge were Diane Simpson and Joann Mosbaugh.
Dave Anderson was all smiles as he accepted the Warsaw Community Baseball League's prestigious Garber Award from Times-Union Editor Curtis Garber. Named for the late Warsaw parks superintendent Avery (Pat) Garber, the award goes to the Little Leaguer who shows the most in both ability and sportsmanship. A member of the Pony League Cubs, Dave is the son of Doug and Janet Anderson and is a sophomore at Warsaw Community High School.
Residents of Tippecanoe Lake report that the red-bud tree in their yard is leafing out for the second time this year. The tree had almost lost all of its leaves, and then with this new heat wave, it has started leafing out again.
Lucille Coyle and her brother Kenneth will motor to Bloomington on Tuesday of next week where both will be students of Indiana University.
