SILVER LAKE - In today's world where many marriages are short-lived, it's unique to find one that is being lived to its fullest.
Kris Golden, a freshman at Wawasee High School, won a silver medal at the recent National Water Ski Championships at Berkeley, Calif. Kris placed second in the girls' division trick skiing, sixth in jumping and fourth overall. Earlier this summer, she won overall titles at both the Indiana state tournament and regional tournament at Essex, Ill. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Golden, of near Milford.
John King, Winona Lake, took part in the Indiana State Field Archery tournament held Sunday and Monday at the range of the Fort Wayne club. Competing in the men's expert class, he scored 579, with 149 hits for third place.
Everett Rasor, Wilbur F. Maish Jr. and C. Wagner were elected members of the Thirteenth District executive committee of the American Legion at a meeting of legionnaires held last night at the legion hall.
